Aurora, Ontario isn’t traditionally a town known for churning out memorable pop-punk acts but on August 9th newcomer Brighter Brightest attempts to imprint themselves in Canada’s music scene with the release of their debut album Right For Me. They have aligned themselves with the heavy hitting production team Machine who are partly responsible for the ascendancy of acts such as Cobra Starship and Gym Class Heroes.
Their debut single “Everyday” was featured on our blog on July 13,2011. Check it out here
“Everyday” borrows tidbits from 90s punk and stays melodically radio friendly. It is sure to remind you of summer nights, sunsets, and maybe someone special. The chorus is laden of love lost with the final stinging line of “it’s too late and I won’t wait for you.” That line may hit some harder than the band’s repeating kick drum.
On August 16th, the band will be featured on the new MuchMusic series, Discovered as they expend blood, sweat and tears in the construction of their album. So mark it down on your calendar, smartphone, or any accessible limb NOW!!
